Just uploaded Traffic Jam 28/05/2005 (Craig Solo and Cinnaman) Part 3/3 to Mixcloud. Listen now!
Hip Hop 120 was a weekly radio show which aired every Thursday night on the now defunct Kink FM in the Netherlands between 1999 and 2004 and Saturdays from 2001 and 2003. It was hosted by Craig Solo & Edzon (now co-owner of Patta).
This episode features J Rocc of the Beat Junkies and was prerecorded on Wednesday 15th October 2003. The show was normally live but as J Rocc had a show in Koln the following day we decided to prerecord the show.
Also joining Craig Solo was Ryan Sikorski formerly of Fat Beats Amsterdam and now of Lush Life, and Amir, who alongside his partner Kon, produced the On Track Mix Tape series.
We started recording this episode at around midnight; and as you probably will notice towards the end of the show everyone in the studio was pretty much wasted mainly from inhaling J Rocc’s blunts.
This show also features a Jaylib track which to this day has still not been released.
Enjoy!

The show also included a weekly rap report from DJ Eclipse of the Halftime Show, Non Phixion and Fat Beats New York. Eclipse would also send us a European version of the Halftime Show which would air on the first Thursday of the month.

All Hip Hop heads need to see this!
These guys were amazing back then and still got it now. The game needs them now more than ever!
Props to Westwood for uploading this!
Here’s some rare footage of Daddy Freddy’s guest appearance on Tim Westwood’s Capital Rap Show from 1990 when Capital’s studios were based in the Euston Tower on the Euston Road.
I remember hearing this show when it aired back in 1990 and actually still have it on cassette. Back then Westwood’s show was on Capital from Midnight until 4am on a Friday night and 8-10pm on a Saturday. Most Friday’s I would stay up until the early hours listening to the show waking up Saturday with my headphones still on.
Those were the days!
Roc Marciano ’ Death Parade’
I gotta admit I don’t listen to much Hip Hop nowadays. It’s not because I don’t want to, it’s just that nothing coming out is any good. However, Roc Marciano’s album ‘Reloaded’ is dope. In fact, I’m gonna say it’s the best album of the year.
No club bangers just old sampled loops and dark lyrics.
Go out and buy it or download it from iTunes. https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/roc-marciano/id250063874
